Introduction

myCred Birthdays Plus is a fun and interactive way to reward myCred points to your users on their birthday. This plugin is compatible with Buddypress and will be triggered when the BuddyPress profile field is connected with the user’s birthday.

Introduction

myCred Birthdays Pro enables users to award myCred points to the users on their birthday, the event can be set via a custom hook which is enabled when the addon is installed and activated. The addon is compatible with Buddypress and has the settings in the hook to trigger the event when a BuddyPress profile field is associated with the user’s birthdate or a custom user meta field is created it can be mapped with the hook by providing a custom user meta key in the field provided in the hook settings. The hook can also be set to trigger points awarded when a user reaches a specific age.

Requirements

Getting Started

  • As the Addon is installed, the plugin will display a custom birthday hook in the hooks tab of the myCred dashboard.
  • Move the hook towards active hooks.
  • In the hook settings, the user has been given multiple features like Date of Birth Location, Field Name/ID, Points Fields, Log Template Fields, and field for settings Specific age, which can be set according to user preferences.

Date of Birth Location

  • You can add the user’s date of birth and capture location details using log templates.
  • Points can be awarded for the user’s birthday through specific templates.

Specific Age

  • Points are awarded when the user reaches a specific age, with templates that adjust based on the age.
  • You can customize the system to include different age milestones, and points will be assigned accordingly.

Add/Remove Specific Ages

  • You have the ability to add or remove specific ages to customize when points are awarded based on age.
